I grew up at the beach and love being outside. I started climbing indoors when I went to Graduate school and fell
in love immediately. Climbing is the one thing that can always bring me into focus. It takes your entire body and all your mental concentration, forcing you to be in the moment. Once I started climbing outdoors, my love hit a new level. I’ve traveled to different countries to climb and all over the U.S which leads me to some of the most beautiful, remote places.
I’ve been climbing for about 8 years and been an instructor for 5. I’ve taken courses with American Mountain Guide Association, have my Wilderness First Responder, Mental Health First Aid and other outdoor certifications. From a teaching perspective, I have my Masters in Education through a program called Community and Social Change. I’ve been teaching outdoor and environmental education for the last 8 years in various states and abroad. One of my favorite things in the world is introducing people to rock climbing.

I grew up in Arizona and hiking has always been my passion. I fell in love with remote wilderness while backpacking in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming in the summers. For a long time I was one of those people who saw rock climbing and said: Nope! But after enough adventures with Courtney, and learning to get over my fear of heights, I fell in love with climbing as well. I am proof that anyone can do it and get past their fears. And I'm glad I did because climbing takes you to some amazingly beautiful and remote places.
I’ve been climbing for 7 years now and have been teaching it for 5. I have my Wilderness First Responder and a Masters in Education through a program called Community and Social Change. I’ve been teaching outdoor and environmental education for the last 8 years around the country and abroad. While climbing is amazing, my favorite thing in the world is still hiking and just getting out into nature.
